PhD school on Quantum Sensing for Fundamental Physics

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

The School is targeted at PhD students in both theoretical and experimental physics with a background in quantum mechanics and an interest in quantum technologies and sensing.

Attendance will be limited, and participants will be selected to ensure that they have the required background to benefit fully from the School.Selected participants will be informed by the end of June.

The School will have a fee of 150 CHF, and instructions on how to pay this fee will be sent to the selected participants.

The school will cover a broad range of topics in quantum sensing (cold atoms, optomechanical sensors, spin systems, quantum measurements, electromagnetic cavities), led by the lecturers:

  • Chelsea Bartram (Stanford U.)
  • Sebastian Ellis (Kings College)
  • Roni Harnik (Fermilab)
  • Andreu Riera-Campeny (ICFO)
  • Dennis Schlippert (Hannover U.)
  • Alex Sushkov (John Hopkins U.)
